Painting Achilles began last night. I first laid the foundation with an airbrush:
- midtone: Dwarf Flesh (GW) + Medium Flesh 860 (Vallejo)
- thinning: Elf Flesh (GW) + Ice Yellow 858 (V) Flesh + 815 (V)
- Shadow: Dark Flesh (GW) + Hull Red 985 (V)
Then everything is taken a brush and paint the real work begins with the same colors but in different proportions. Turquoise glazes 840 (V) are already incorporated to represent the beard. Now for the pictures!
This Face painting is quite difficult: besides the fact that Brad Pitt did not look very strong, we must consider the fact that the head is surrounded by the helmet. So, we must put shadows where there are usually light, especially the bridge of the nose will be plunged into a shadow strong enough because the nose of the helmet will obscure it:) I often place the helmet on head to check the progress of work.
