New Chrch Member Welcome Letter

Death Korps of Krieg

There I had to succumb to date a production Forge World! Most of their pieces leave me cold, but their series Death Korps of Krieg and hit me in the eye! Surely, it must come from their looks unhealthy, dark, equipment clearly inspired German WWI / WWII, their emaciated nags mid-organic, half-cybernetic ... What's better than Death Korps as the first piece created specifically for my first Games Day, in Germany, which is more?

I obviously got lucky with my draw, Forge World being a priori not known for the consistent quality of their castings. A little flash by too many parting, except on the saddle tank unusable and had to be completely redone. By cons, good fifteen hours summers have invested in changes to the original parts, namely:

- rotation of the head of Chwala (30 seconds in boiling water, it will own);
- repositioning of the right arm of jumper for a focused less steep Lance;
- right front leg completely redone in card and plastic profiles;
- the tank at the rear of the saddle is composed of 28 parts copper, brass, aluminum, plastic;
- The breathing of the horse and flexible: the same, a small thirty pieces;
- the pennant
aluminum foil - all sprinkled with rivets made with a cookie cutter (actually a tool jeweler diverted from its original function).

Places photos:

The decor of slate shards, with spackle and various bits of plastic, scrap photo-etched, GW skulls, pieces kitty litter, etc. ...

Finally, a small view of all the decor as "Verdun" and a quick coat of paint pre-shaded and pre-cleared at the airport. Barbed irons are made using a template rudimentary (two headless nails into a piece of wood ...) to maintain some regularity. Later, I should make them the famous barbed elsewhere, but all in good time ^ _ ^

Assassin East (more. ..)

Here is the result of the Assassin continues its merry way. I realized after completing the white coat and finished the face, the growth is accelerating because really there is almost more than accessories to paint.

(thank you Dave for the art of metal on the faceplate!)

And a small view of the floor / decor. Almost everything is painted Games Workshop Foundation, except the shadow is an essay in ink Golden (special paint for airbrush). Only drawback is that these inks are brilliant, so I had to iron a veil of matt varnish to restore the entire dullness. It is also a test for masking the base by means of flanges Patafix. The figure was placed on the base and the deflected light so to generate a natural shade. The contours of this shadow are delineated with flange Patafix then sails light ink "Shadow Grey" are gone. This type of masking has the advantage of leaving a very thin edge gradient and steady.

What Type Ofwoodisstrongest

Assassin Oriental

Here is the beginning of this new JMD Miniatures Exhibit. Level preparation is fairly standard: some fine mold lines to remove, tigeage legs (what a joy to pierce the resin from to the metal!) and gluing two pieces of coat (ripened with a scalpel and sandpaper) and the sheath of the sword - it was sticking a little tricky on my draw, because the plot did not coincide as thin as the rest parts. After the traditional coat of primer, I realized he was missing a small detail impossible to mold, and Remy Smith, the author of the original figure, did not fail to detail: a thin strap that holds the sheath to the harness. Rolled lead wire and two small rivets to the punch, glued on both sides of the sheath, and that was it! The paint can start ...

Here is the palette used for the white far. From lightest to darkest:

- White (Vallejo)
- Ivory (V)
- Ice Yellow (V)
- Bleached Bone (Games Workshop)
- Graveyard Earth (GW)
- Black (GW)

The proportions of light shades / dark merely vary depending on whether one is in the light or in shadow. On the face, there is just a small layer of Tallarn Flesh (GW Foundation), the story of a clearer picture.

Retirement Christian Songs

Phew!

The big contest period is over, now! So I can breathe a little, concentrate on my new toy (a PS3, yay!) And paint it a little less speed (and again ...).

So, try to correct pictures of the bust of Pirate Raul G. Latorre is finished for quite some time. The painting of Achilles follows its merry way, and as the desire took me to make a nice piece great for the World Expo, this morning I started painting the Assassin carved by Remy Tremblay and edited by JMD-Miniatures. I have a little less than two months to complete, and perhaps even finish the Achilles Occasionally, we'll see;)

I Need Help With My Calculator

Achilles (more. ..)

Here then, after application of a mixture of varnish and powder painting Talens Bronze Metal SNJ old mark. Glazes of green camo (GW), turquoise (V) and Ink Red Oxide (Golden) come over to avoid something too flashy.

The application to the sponge adds a fine texture, visible here:

Something Like Elf Yourselfr

Achilles (more. ..)

I started painting the helmet during a demonstration at the show Ham-sur-Heure. On a basis at the airport consists of Black Chaos (GW) Brown Camo German (V) and Uniform Japanese (V) - more brown in the shadows, more uniform jap on Light - the same colors are repeated "the sponge". The three colors are placed randomly and mixed a bit wet on the palette and a small piece of foam pack (the gray, which is dense) Tapotte side is rather black, brown or uniform jap ("yellow", say) by needs. Subsequently, veils of green ink (GW) and inks Airbrush Red Oxide and Grey Shadow (Golden) are used to enrich the color and give depth to the shadows.

And a view of almost complete shield ('end on this side of at least ^ ^). Traces of oxidation were made with Turquoise (Color Games Andrea) and Blue (V), the rest is taken up with Red Oxide and Grey Shadow (Golden). A few splashes are simulated by tapping the brush lightly loaded onto the handle of a scalpel ...

Green Discharge Rook Piercing

Achilles (more. ..)

The painting continues with eyes (not quite finished here, it lacks the sparkle white). Forget the big stain on the upper lip)

The shield is prepared quickly at the airport:
- first the dark silver color (Boltgun GW) is applied to the whole. Areas which should remain that color are covered with liquid mask;
- metal and dark areas are painted matte black Boltgun +. These areas are then masked as before to protect the more ...;
- it is the turn the gilded parts: in the dark mixture that remains in the bucket of the airport, I add Burnished Gold GW that I apply to the central part, cabochons and girth.

soon as this last color is dry, remove the mask liquid. That raised the base layers. A mixture of irregular and Tausept Denheb Stone Ochre (GW Foundation) very diluted quickly moved on to décontraster all dusty and all, and the shield is gone;)
