Death Korps of Krieg There I had to succumb to date a production Forge World! Most of their pieces leave me cold, but their series Death Korps of Krieg and hit me in the eye! Surely, it must come from their looks unhealthy, dark, equipment clearly inspired German WWI / WWII, their emaciated nags mid-organic, half-cybernetic ... What's better than Death Korps as the first piece created specifically for my first Games Day, in Germany, which is more?
I obviously got lucky with my draw, Forge World being a priori not known for the consistent quality of their castings. A little flash by too many parting, except on the saddle tank unusable and had to be completely redone. By cons, good fifteen hours summers have invested in changes to the original parts, namely:
- rotation of the head of Chwala (30 seconds in boiling water, it will own);
- repositioning of the right arm of jumper for a focused less steep Lance;
- right front leg completely redone in card and plastic profiles;
- the tank at the rear of the saddle is composed of 28 parts copper, brass, aluminum, plastic;
- The breathing of the horse and flexible: the same, a small thirty pieces;
- the pennant
aluminum foil - all sprinkled with rivets made with a cookie cutter (actually
a tool jeweler diverted from its original function).

The decor of slate shards, with spackle and various bits of plastic, scrap photo-etched, GW skulls, pieces kitty litter, etc. ...
Finally, a small view of all the decor as "Verdun" and a quick coat of paint pre-shaded and pre-cleared at the airport. Barbed irons are made using a template rudimentary (two headless nails into a piece of wood ...) to maintain some regularity. Later, I should make them the famous barbed elsewhere, but all in good time ^ _ ^
